Comments: The Allman Brothers Band had
a capacity to be spontaneous every night and, wonderfully, they
considered themselves to be our house band at Stony Brook
University as they bridged a magical space between rock and
jazz along with our hearts and our souls. Dickey wrote
“In Memory of Elizabeth Reed, “Blue Sky” and
“Rambling Man”, which still constitutes some of the
best Southern sound ever heard on this planet.
